Pork jerky is an all-American snack that has been around for a long time. It is easy to make at home and you can add your own twist to it. If you like spice this one’s for you! Pork jerky can be made from many different cuts, but the best cut of meat for the job is pork top loin. The best part, the only ingredient required is pork! It’s so easy to make and you can add whatever spices you want to give this meaty snack a great flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Lbs Ground Pork 25% fat
  • 1 Tsp Fish Sauce
  • ½ Tsp Five-Spice Powder
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/3 Tsp Ground Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Take a large bowl, add all the ingredients and mix thoroughly for 3-5 minutes. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

Step 2

Cut 6 sheets of parchment paper (15.5 inches x 10.5 inches).

Step 3

Spread the meat mixture in a thin layer on parchment paper; use a butter knife for convenience. Leave an inch around the perimeter of the paper.

Step 4

Now prepare a rolling pin and shrink wrap. Wrap the meat and use the rolling pin to roll it until smooth. After that you can remove all the cling film.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 250 °F. Take the meat sheets and place them in a baking dish and bake for about 15 minutes.

Step 6

When the meat is dry, let it cool and cut it into 6-8 pieces.

Step 7

Heat the oven to 425°F.

Place the parchment paper in a mold and place the chopped pieces of meat, and grill in the oven for 3-5 minutes.

Step 9

Remove the mold from the oven and use tongs to flip the pieces of meat over and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
