Brownie is a simple cakes, but is able to satisfy the strongest sweet tooth! Cooked brownie is not only tender and moist, but also soft and does not crumble during its preparation. This original recipe for the cake was invented in 1893 in the kitchen of the legendary Palmer House hotel in Chicago.
The first brownies were just a bar with caramel walnut cream on top. For more than 50 years, the Brownies has been baked according to the original recipe – from chocolate and sugar, flour, eggs and nuts – covered with apricot glaze on top.
Frosting:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) before baking. If you’re unsure of how hot the inside of your oven is, check with the manufacturer or use an oven thermometer to measure the temperature. Lightly grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat for 1 minute. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
Set your timer for 25 to 30 minutes bake in preheated oven. Do not overcook.
These are the ingredients you ll need to make frosting. 1 cup confectioners’ sugar; 3 tablespoons cocoa, 3 tablespoons softened butter; Prepare the frosting until it reaches a smooth, creamy texture. Stir until smooth. Frost brownies while they are still warm.
